With the implicit understanding that Yogi Bear will almost definitely steal every one of them, new Park Blocks spot Picnic House (set in the historic former Heathman Hotel lobby, and still boasting the 1920 floors and ceiling tiles) will be offering to-go baskets of booze and bites to complement a sprawling sit-down space that includes a window-side picnic table made of 700-year-old-wood, also what Clint Eastwood uses to have sex.

Lunchtime brings basket-able sammies like roasted turkey w/ blueberry glaze and thick-cut bacon/avocado, plus charcuterie and pickled shrimp, while for dinner you'll be downing roasted pork loin, fresh pasta primavera, handmade ricotta-stuffed ravioli, and rotating specials (no .38, thankfully) featuring ingredients from neighboring PSU farmer's market.

You can either basket up 22oz-ers like Alpha Dog Imperial IPA, or get them to stay at a bar lorded over by a monocled bear slain by the owner's very awesome dad. Meanwhile, cocktails're dominated by PDX distillers, including the Benson-named Bubbler Martini and the marionberry/lemondrop hybrid Moulin Rouge, which uses fresh-squeezed lemon juice to make your face contort in ways post-Botox Nicole Kidman only wishes hers could.

Those baskets won't be available until next week, but once up and running you'll be able to take them to whatever park you please and even keep them for a price nominal enough that it won't make anyone say Boo! Boo!
