This new Uptown Oakland eatery playfully blends Japanese cuisine with NorCal flair in an upscale diner-ish setting with checkerboard floors and a soda-fountain-style bar. Must-eats come from a Yoshi's vet and count the Three Little Pigs (braised belly, prosciutto meatball, ham hock kale) and the pickled-onion-and-griddled-beef-tongue-topped First Base Burger, also what Carrie Bradshaw said that time Jack was like, "Hey Carrie, how far would you say we'll get sexually tonight, preferably in the context of a baseball metaphor?".
