First-class eats from the Second City

The Second City, in addition to being how Everett hopes to one day be thought of compared to other cities in Snohomish County (excluding Edmonds of course, since that place is just impossibly charming), is also the hometown of a former hot dog vendor who just opened Benito's Chicago Eatery. The Windy City specialty slinger features original wood beams, and 30 mostly hand-built seats arranged around an open kitchen that pretty much forks whoever it wants.

The menu's built around authentic, incredibly-rare-in-Seattle Chicago-style deep dish pizzas ranging from the aged mozz/sausage/pepperoni Benito's Special, to a simple cheese number you can top w/ stuff like roasted red bell peppers, and Italian beef, which always attracts a mob. Additional eats mean brioche bun'd hot dogs like the Chicago w/ tomato & hot peppers, and sandwiches like the Italian sausage/sauteed peppers & onions-topped John Hancock (hopefully it's their signature sandwich).

If that's not enough food to make your ribbon belts break, you can also get apps (salumi & cheese plates), or dessert (housemade cannoli), then wash things down w/ cask wine from Proletariat, local brews, and craft "pop", also what Everett needs their next marketing campaign to do if they're ever gonna catch Arlington.
