231 Main St., Amagansett; 631.267.6399
After several delays, the Upper East Side stalwart's finally opened its Amagansett restaurant, a toned down, marble-walled, floor-to-ceiling windowed spot with a sizable patio, serving up old-school Italian like homemade black linguine w/ shrimp & spicy tomato sauce, veal Milanese, and Orecchiette con ragu di branzino, plus 17 pizzas (Bufalina, Stromboli, Funghi…) prepped in a wood-burning stove, and desserts including wild berry Mascarpone Panna Cotta and Semifreddo al Pistacchio -- not nearly as likely to betray your bowels as Freddo al Pistachio.
