For some of the most potent things, a little goes a long way -- like truffle oil, or Scotch, or family gatherings, unless you disagree with that Scotch statement. Delivering a tasty dab of military style, Distilled.
Dropping online today, the Spring/Summer offering from Mission-based Distilled's a functional line of military-ish looks, executed in swathes of too-haute-for-combat fabrics n' patterns more befitting of "a band of techy prepsters called to war" than a Green Beret, or even a dude who owns a rambunctious lab mix. Up top, there's a cotton button down in mixed plaids, with a subtly contrasting placket, under-collar, and officer's pocket; another in soft linen with epaulets and ladder pulls for rolled up sleeves; both of which can be concealed beneath a shimmery mac/trench coat (w/ detachable hood and belt) in heavy Japanese nylon, which is way more into Cheap Trick than the American version. Downstairs there're slim-cut seersucker cargos (which also rock ladder pull roll up action), and more diabolically, the twill EMF Blocker Pants, fitted with copper/nickel plated pockets that protect your progeny from cell phone radiation, and your cell phone from your sweaty progeny-maker.
If you prefer your gear non-military issue, they've also got the mod-cut Best Boy suit in gray/blue cotton window panes, and crinkly, washed cotton summer scarves in various plaids -- because unless you're a French New Wave art student, a little scarf goes a long way.
