Mr. E Regal

Old-school radios that can play your Toad the Wet Sprocket MP3s

Not actually E. Honda’s Buick he drives just to be hilariously ironic, E Regal is the nom-de-craft of a dude who makes MP3 player speakerboxes out of vintage AM/FM radios and facsimiles thereof, making your standard iPod dock look...well, much newer, but not nearly as cool. The two types:

AM Radios: Each old-school tuner's sourced from garage sales/ Craigslist/ easily hoodwinked old people, and gets gutted and given updated tubes/circuitry while the exterior’s kept intact. The results: the handle-topped Airline, the black, alarm-equipped Zenith, and the working-radio, oval-faced Admiral, which is weird, because David Robinson used to have such a chiseled jawline.

Handmade Speakers: Featuring various painted designs, some of these wood guys include switches to go from FM radio to aux for your iPod/Phone/Pad, while all have standard pluggable DC adapters and new 3in speakers, or what you call E. Honda after he wins and grunts out that stuff, when you’re playing on a regular-sized TV.
