Spotted Owl Leather

So good it should be endangered

When not dealing with the legal fallout arising from environmental groups misunderstanding which animal they sourced their material from, Spotted Owl Leather -- started by a local crafter who made his hobby into a business -- is turning out wearable/functional goods handcrafted from high-quality leather, which they presumably just picked up by spending time in bars with Chris Berman.

Note: No spotted owls were harmed in the making of these sweet offerings:

Leather Wine Bike Rack: Securely fitting standard vino bottles to the frame of your fixie, this premium tooling-grade leather number is fitted with double-cap rivets, and a rugged clasp that's made from nickel-plated brass and "NOT chrome", which is also a popular response when Netscape-loving old people are asked what browser they use.

Leather Wallet: This hand-cut, heavily riveted billfold can be customized via free monogram-style stamping, and comes in a mess of colors including dark mahogany, scarlet red, and evening blue, a move that made sense, as Dennis Franz's rear end wasn't quite ready for prime time.

Secret Compartment Keychain: Stitched together with waxed linen, this 3in fob unscrews to reveal a water-resistant 10mm-diameter tube that's perfect to conceal, for example, something that is most definitely not illegal drugs, just so there're no misunderstandings.

ExhortAdd this to My Thrillist

ExhortSOL's completely made-up legal trouble is ironic, since they actually donate a portion of their proceeds to protect the Spotted Owl. Help 'em out, by scoring something at their e-shop, here.
