Asylum recently made friends with one of the coolest accounts on Twitter: @JetMystery. The brainchild of JetBlue and Thrillist, Jet Mystery will take off next weekend and send a plane full of lucky people (plus Asylum!) on vacation. The question is ... where the hell are we going?
Elizabeth Brady, Asylum
Thrillist and title sponsor Jet Blue are doing it right, flying 70 bloggers and journalists to an undisclosed location for a 3-day party.

“Let’s get weird!” Ben Lerer yelled over the micro-phone for his first speech to us. The CEO of the company that now employees over forty people looked like he was determined for all of us to have a good weekend from the moment we got there (game face, anyone?), as did his employees. What can be said? Thrillist.com knows how to throw a party. And this is coming from a person some may call a bonafide party expert - I’ve been to more events, clubs and gatherings in the past year than some people go to in their lifetime.

Thrillist Delivers The Party Of The Century In Jamaica!I’m just back from a whirlwind weekend in Jamaica thanks to the super folks at Thrillist.com, JetBlue and Iberostar. These guys KNOW how to have a good time!

Thrillist's Mile High Club -- Our naughty friends over at Thrillist have one
hell of a contest going on. You know how you've been whining for the past three
years about how all you can afford is a staycation? The derelicts at The List
are going to change that. They're offering you a chance to win a seat for their
Jet Mystery Getaway. Where are they going? That's the mystery, stupid! If you
win a spot, they don’t tell you the destination until your grateful butt is in
your seat on the plane.

This morning, while we all blissfully dozed into the weekend, 150 prize winners, journalists and internet fameballs boarded a Jetblue flight with destination unknown. The 3-day party trip is sponsored by Thrillist.com, Jetblue, and a myriad of brands like Trojan, Gillette and Starbucks

Let’s be honest: It was a three-day free-for-all in the land of jerk chicken and lightening storms so you can only imagine the parts I’m leaving out. But to give Thrillist and JetBlue a little credit, I’ll mention a few things that I remembered I actually did and post THE VERY FIRST photos of yours truly on Wordplay. Yes, I’m THAT excited about this trip:

This past weekend, Thrillist invited assorted media types to a "Jetmystery" party, the details of which were a surprise — just bring your bags and a passport to the airport on Saturday, and let the dudes behind the newsletter show you a good time. The adventurous souls who actually signed on found themselves partying at a nice resort in Jamaica. It was a random crowd, we're told — mostly new-media types, a few magazine editors not tied down by ethical restrictions, Gideon Yago, the Obama Girl. Fun!

Thank you and Thrillist so much for putting together JetMystery! It was a really fun trip, and I was floored by the Iberostar and by White Night.

Over the weekend, the website Thrillist, in cooperation with their partners Jet Blue and Starbucks and Sandals Resorts and some other fine businesses, threw a free mystery-destination weekend junket vacation for around 150 people

"Adventure. Excitement. A Jedi craves not these things." But as a writer who covers the fast-changing world of the internet, I feel like they are almost requirements. Which is why I agreed to take part in The JetMystery trip -- a three-day junket, created by JetBlue and Thrillist.com and sponsored by a host of digital-savvy companies like Starbucks, Chow.com, The Onion, and POM.

Last Sunday night's White Nite Party, held on Sandals Cay at Sandals Royal Caribbean in Montego Bay, showcased the finest of Jamaican hospitality. Around 150 US-based press, social media journalists, prize winners and corporate representatives flew in for Jet Mystery - a mystery destination weekend organised by NY online magazine Thrillist, JetBlue Airline and the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB).
Jamaica Observer
all in all it was a really fun weekend, with lots of great people from outlets that included Mashable, AOL Travel, People, NBC, MTV, jauntsetter, et al, and none of the painful meet and greets / property tours that most press trips subject you to. Thrillist is already planning a reunion for sometime next month in NYC. Don’t forget your wristband…
