Thrillist internships are unpaid but structured to give the interns maximum exposure to the world of digital publishing, our goal being to provide them with solid experience that will quickly help them find paid work.

Ideal candidates will be comfortable with:

  • Canon EOS equipment
  • Experience shooting interiors and food
  • A general understanding of photo editing software

Requirements:

The candidate needs a strong understanding of the online media landscape and a passion for fashion and successfully growing a fun, dynamic, and creative business. The position is based in NY.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Building media lists, news monitoring, writing press releases
  • Assembling coverage reports, conducting intensive Internet research
  • Securing press coverage for JackThreads
  • Creating, developing and executing PR campaigns to promote the brand throughout all media, including print, TV, radio, and most importantly, new media
  • Overseeing and developing social media opportunities

Qualifications and Expectations:

Requirements:
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience doing front-end work for a web-based business or web-focused agency
  • Minimum 2 years experience with Javascript/jQuery/Prototype/etc
  • Able to hand-code efficient tableless CSS layouts
  • Up-to-date understanding of SEO best practices
