  • Lead outbound sales campaigns to increase awareness of Thrillist.com among the advertising community and to generate new business in excess of $1,000,000 annually.
  • Prospect and penetrate medium to large size organizations ("Top 2000" advertisers, major sub-brands and Advertising Agencies) to obtain branded marketing dollars.
  • Create persuasive sales presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel detailing market trends, case studies and Thrillist.com marketing solutions.
  • Analyze campaign performance statistics and recommend optimized media solutions from the results.
  • Work to develop effective sales strategies and advertising products for continued site revenue growth.

The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS degree or equivalent, a minimum of 3 years media planning or 1 year of online sales experience with a top performance record and an extensive contact list.

Junior PHP Developer

We're seeking a Junior PHP Developer to join our growing development team, under the Director of Technology.

Responsibilities
  • Bachelors degree in CS or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Assume full responsibility for all Thrillist San Diego content -- from finding great topics, to determining how best to present them, to executing that vision.
  • Manage a network of contacts, publicists, freelancers, and tipsters
  • Liaise with the New York headquarters to support marketing, adsales, and events in San Diego
Qualifications:

  • 2+ years programming experience
  • 1+ years PHP experience
  • Some experience with AJAX/Javascript/XML/Web2.0/blah/blah - jQuery a plus
