Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort

Ah, the winter vacation dilemma: "I'd love to go skiing, but then again, I'd also love to gamble, bury my face in rock-hard titties, and possibly catch Cirque du Soleil". Do it all, with Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort.

Incongruously located 40 miles from the Strip, LVSS is a full-service resort perched 8,500ft up Mt. Charleston, offering everything you'd need in a day of reckless endangerment: challenging runs, equipment rentals, a lodge serving chili, and a bar serving beer. The three-lift operation sports eleven different trails spanning all levels, e.g., "Rabbit Peak" for beginners, "Jacks" for mogul lovers and, for black diamond cutters, "Slot Alley": 9,300 feet up, fast-paced, and situated in a natural bowl, as opposed to the unnatural bowl that makes the chairlift so fun. For those who eat black diamonds with their Frosted Flakes, the Darkside Terrain Park's stocked with numerous rails and benches, a 500ft half-pipe, and a 40ft jump specifically designed to seem like a great idea all the way 'til the 37th foot.

Full day passes are just $50, and there's also a combo deal for lift pass/equipment rental/2hr lesson for $90 -- though while skiing during a Vegas trip's worthwhile, getting schooled's for French-Canadian clowns.
