Keep A Breast Auction

From the repeal of Prohibition in the 30s, to the repeal of morality in the 70s, America's scruples have long been fickle...and finally that fickleness has smiled upon breasts. Making it officially callous to not ogle boobs, the Keep A Breast auction.

A non-profit group dedicated to raising breast cancer awareness through youth outreach, KAB enlisted a variety of contributors to art up 82 breast casts (starting at just $25) from pro surfers, burlesque performers, and survivors -- recognition that the best way to prevent a breastless future is with a more breasty now. Contributing creative types range from fine artists like David Russell Talbott (lunar landscape with breasts as planets), to street artists KMNDZA (a falling bomb) and Mike Giant, whose B&W, rose'd up one-breaster features the inscription "NO GAIN, NO LOSS, ONLY CHANGE" (your own mantra when you check your ATM balance). Punk/New Wave icons trying their hands include Mark Mothersbaugh of DEVO ('toonish faces on both breasts), Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth (a giant X), and Iggy Pop, who on his bust scrawled "T is for terror"...an emotion with jam and bread.

Other highlights include an elaborate Chinese dragon, an uber-glossy woman's face with "Treasured Chest" written over her lips, and a skull with daisy covered breasts, because nothing says fickle moral compass like the Grateful Dead.
