Biggest Menu

Since primeval man first salivated over a plump, juicy wildebeest, he's relied on his eyes to stoke his appetite. Thanks to BiggestMenu.com, it's time for you to get plain-eval.

Thrillist = Biggest Menu BM's a new, user-generated photographic restaurant guide showcasing dishes the world over -- but since its founders are UCI grads, the current content's dominated by SoCal gorge-eterias. Searching by city or keyword yields you a vast trove of pics, cluing you in to the grub's desirability/loathability/bigness (attn area fatties: La Casita Mexicana has a 5-piece Red Enchilada plate). Clicking on a thumbnail gives you a larger, more irresistible image accompanied by a sidebar of the spot's other options; you'll also get map-able address information, so you can quit merely ogling your savory Playmate's centerfold, and go eat her in person.

Coming soon: a "to eat" function, a one-click culinary bookmark reminding you of which dishes you've vowed to eat or die trying. So far, the most primeval-sounding dish is Yak Mo-Mo's ground yak meat dumplings -- a scary sounding appetizer that, upon closer inspection, looks less like beest and more like dumpling.
