Once an ambitious talent has conquered one challenge, they're on to the next: Scarlett Johansson is trying her hand at singing, and Shaq, already the accomplished rapper, has branched into mean rapping. For a brand with a similar trajectory, check out Brixton LTD.
Started four years ago in Oceanside as a hats-only company, Brixton's now venturing into jackets and shirts, clothing the entire top of the Brixton loyalist while still leaving his bottom-half puckishly exposed. Jackets come in two punk-named configurations: The Clampdown's a slim-fit worker's jacket w/ two pocket cotton exterior/nylon interior, while the Debaser's a military-ish, 4-pocket number styled from heavyweight black canvas and grey herringbone twill (Kim Deal's favorite twill, the herring's least). Tees are fitted, combed ring-spun cotton adorned with everything from a hypnotic circle-shaped design to a print of two old-school pugilists duking it out; they're also dropping a 100%-cotton plaid flannel, perfect for your friend whose mosh pit collapsed into an icy crevasse.
The crux of the company's still hats: new offerings include the gray melton wool "Bridge," the camo-print "Semi", and "Combat," which thoughtfully includes fold-down earflaps to protect your tender ears from Shaq's blistering disses.
The whole line's at BrixtonLTD.com
