Eat/Drink: The Mission Cantina

The Mission Cantina

Decked out like a Mexican church (backlit stained glass, pew-y booths, etc), this "bar with good food" from the Delancey/Bowery guys serves up classics like mole-poblano chicken tacos and ceviche w/red snapper, plus oddball margaritas like apricot and jalapeno. The 100+ tequila list includes rarities like double-column, tower-distilled Don Fulano and Jalisco-based "Arette", which is close to the French for "stop", but probably not close enough.

Wear: IM King

IM King

This local t-shirter's new line counters tweaked nostalgia (a crouching Mike Tyson w/ "Kingdom Come" over his mouth, the Appetite for Destruction cover re-jiggered with metal-saluting skeleton fingers) with its own original sinful imagery, e.g. "Criminally Minded": a topless, bandana-faced, bullet-bandoliered woman being fondled from behind by a gun-toting female partner-in-crime (if this makes you nostalgic for anything, your life is totally awesome).

Non-Arthurian amenities include HD plasmas, castle-wide audio system, Xbox, pool and poker tables, steam room, balcony bar, two Jacuzzis, tennis courts, and a giant pool w/ gargoyle fountains. If your friends aren't into booking it, they are clearly witches.
