Mode

916 S Olive St, Downtown; 213.627.4888

While you languish at your desk, the fashion district teems with beautiful models and the fabulous men perversely determined to clothe them. For a taste of that glamour -- and a delicious, 2am burger -- check out Mode.

Thrillist = Mode From the team behind Royale, Mode's the first flossy 24-hour spot in the hood: a French Bistro dually dedicated to the aesthetic of fashion, and the sustenance of people who can't fit into it. For the look, the restaurant projects old catwalk shows, and the joint's split down the middle by a 40ft long, LED-illuminated runway leading to both dressing rooms and bathrooms -- perfect for Mode's sporadically planned fashion shows/your sporadically executed pee-pee dances. For those on the plus-side, dishes run the gamut from Brioche French Toast, to Lamb Osso Bucco, to Bacon Lettuce Cups w/ Garden Herb, which the lunch crowd will order "hold the bacon, lettuce cups, and garden herb", with a side of ice.

Throw down some cash for the upstairs VIP room, and you'll get ultra-suede couches, a steam shower, a giant Jacuzzi, and a photo-shoot setup -- which you can perversely use to capture the magic of six fat-ulous men squeezed into a 10-person hot tub.
