Agura (now closed)

This date-friendly Japanese-French fusionery's got a massive golden Buddha and gilded-golden walls in a vaulted-ceiling'd dining room that was formerly a church. Grub includes both standard sushi-bar fare (tuna/yellowtail/sweet shrimp/etc) as well as oddball prepared choices like collagen terrine w/ umami-balsamic dressing and foie gras w/ daikon-miso sesame cream sauce; they've also just gotten their liquor license, meaning you can now end your church trip praying to a porcelain god.
