Cecconi's

This London transplant's transformed the Morton's space into a massive, upscale Italian bistro (glass chandeliers, plush tufted leather banquettes) with subtle hints of 50's ice cream parlor (stationary purple barstools). Food ranges from creative breakfasts (wood-baked fritatta w/ pancetta/wild mushrooms & ricotta), to pasta lunches (crab ravioli w/ saffron sauce), to seafood dinners (charcoal-grilled Santa Barbara prawns w/ escarole & anchovy), as well as tableside-made tartares, carpaccios, and salads, including one with lobster, asparagus, and fava beans -- which also go great with a nice Chianti, and roving civil servants' livers.
