Two cross-town booze competitors (Fairfax's Golden State and Downtown's BottleRock) meet on neutral territory at Hollywood's Blue Palms to determine who's got the better beer float, with the State using homemade ice cream from Scoops, and Bottle Rock teaming with Milk. Your entrance gets you four full helpings of different secret-til-the-day-of flavor combos (two from each pair), with the winner getting bragging rights and the proceeds going to 826LA -- an organization that helps kids get motivated with their writing, although, after four beers, the only writing you're doing is a meager tip.
