Dinner and a Movie: Dwell on Design Night at the Movies/Mobile Restaurant Row

Saturday at the Geffen Contemporary at the Moca: 152 N Central Ave, Downtown

A ticket to this architectural double feature (Dustin Hoffman-narrated, Frank Gehry-featured "Visual Acoustics: The Modernism of Julius Shulman", and award-winning "The Greening of Southie") also gets you into the pre-screening party: a first-ever corral of usually dispersed truck food gems. Kogi's unconfirmed but likely, while locked-in participants include gourmet dogs from Culver City's Let's Be Frank, baby back ribs and pulled pork sandwiches from the Venice-centric Barbie's Q, and ice cream sandwiches from often-in-Silverlake Cool Haus, each punnily named after an architect, though nowhere to be found is the I. M. Peinutbuttercup.
