Man's long used flamboyant attire to draw attention to himself, from the rainbow headdresses of warrior chieftains, to the loud "peacocking" clothing on anyone desperate enough to have read The Game, even after realizing it had nothing to do with Michael Douglas. Just dropping their second line, Radii crafts sneakers with ridiculously limit-pushing designs and in-your-face materials/colors, designed by a decade-deep apparel business dude who's counting on Radii eventually "being like Nike", which shouldn't be a problem after he signs a 21-year-old Michael Jordan. The centerpiece of the the most recent drop's the Straight Jacket, a laceless high-top in everything from fire-engine red to gold/zebra print, with three thick interchangeable straps (each pair comes w/ two different colorways), as well as a zipper along the side for easy on-off, and to give you something to anxiously play with while you're waiting for that goddamned therapist who gives everyone else more attention than you. Other big-tongued, way-high-top options include the Strangler, which also gets a side-zipper and an extra-long lace designed to wrap around the ankle a couple times; the 420 Top, with a cushioned ankle and velcro and button straps; and the multi-paneled, metal-tongue-logo'd "Thriller", which would've been much easier to make a joke off last week.

The new drop also includes the 420 Low, in red or blue patent leather, as well as more muted colors, like two different shades of navy denim, and black with an orangish sole -- although if the sole were black too, you'd already be taking its advice on telling the girl you're hitting on that she has "an adorably dumpy ass".
