8's taking over the breezeway in the Z Ocean Hotel, plating burgers like their house blend (a meaty conglomeration of sirloin, tri-tip, short rib, and chuck) and edible fun like the Suds & Slider Sampler: three 5oz beers with mini wild boar, lamb, and prime beef burgers. There's also sides goodness like fried pickles and truffled potato skins, and a mess of burger toppings like fried green tomatoes, purple mustard, Humbolt Fog cheese, and cave-aged Gruyere described as "nutty", but wouldn't you be too, if you were trapped in a cave?

When your Cool Water runs dry, head to Jo Malone, the UK scent-ist whose library of 20 base scents can be custom-layered to create your own unique musk. As a non-chick, you'll be guided by a smell stylist toward the spicy, citrusy, and woody direction, eg, the basil/foresty “154” pairs well with "Grapefruit", and their “Pomegranate Noir” pairs with “Cacao & Blue Agave” -- a real changeup, considering your association between agave and waking up on someone's lawn stinking drunk.

Miami-based HM screens 100% Pima cotton tees before seams're sewn, ensuring continuity on their wrap-around designs; prints include “Looking At Horizon”, a hot lady atop a tower of giant cubes gazing off into the distance (w/ more cubes on the back), the fairly self-explanatory “Skull And Dots”, and “Old School Shoe”, a helix-like swirl of lines around a beat-up canvas hi-top. 50% of HM's profits go to charity, likely helping ensure that no kids' feet share the same fate as your shirt.

MAM kicks off its monthly Summer Nights series with an open bar on beer and Birkedal Hartmann Cognac, and free popcorn throughout this Dustin Hoffman-narrated doc on the photography of Julius Shulman, the guy who helped put modern architecture on the map by shooting famous glass houses in LA, then did the same with Miami's own MiMo movement, which would be considered modernism's frivolous offspring, if architecture got laid more often.
Free for MAM Contemporaries, $5 for MAM members, $10 for non-members (buy tix at the door). For more info, and to watch the trailer, go to MiamiArtMuseum.org
