Bird Club Tees

When you love and appreciate something so completely, you'll go the extra mile to accompany it properly -- like bartenders brining their own olives, or Joe Satriani, who has a guitar with his own face on it. For tees from guys who're similarly devoted, Bird Club's Spring collection.

From two Miami sneakerheads who were constantly pining for better shirts to wear with their dopest kicks, Bird Club fashions bold bright tees that reference shoe culture, play clever puns with fonts, words, and pics, or just look sweet. For footwear-related action, there's "Fakes Are BS", w/ a Nike font/swoosh, but Nike's SB moniker is switched to BS; "I Heart My Kicks" instead of "NY"; and K.R.E.A.M." in the venerable D.A.R.E font, which now proclaims Kicks Rule Everything Around Me -- because trading a drug addiction for a sneaker one can be a wise fiscal move. Non-kick punny stuff includes "New Money", which looks like a pack of Newports and rocks a Surgeon General's warning on the addictiveness of fresh cash; "King Wilt", w/ a fake basketball card labeled "Big Dipper", and Chamberlain's iconic 100-point-game photo now reading "20,000"; and "So Fly", with the word "SO" superimposed over a fly so big you can see the hairs on its back -- indicating that he's badly in need of the services of Bravo sensation Queer Eye for the Straight Fly.

There's also more straightforward offerings like "Skull", with a huge bony cranium covering nearly the entire shirt; "Smiley", with an oversized joyous smiley face wearing a crown; and "Kid Dynamite", with a bad-ass pic of championship-belt-draped Tyson -- who so loved eating, now he can't find his olives.
