Havana Grove (now closed)

Bringing much-needed quick-breakfast fare to the Grove, this Cuban cafe offers a morning combo (café con leche, Cuban toast, sausage, two eggs) for $5.95; lunch and dinner specials (traditional beef stew w/ black beans & rice, fried plantains, and/or yucca; yellow cornmeal stew w/ roasted pork, and moros rice); and 16 sandwiches, notably a hard-to-dream-up combo of roast turkey, cream cheese, and strawberry jam called the "Aunt Elena", who, judging from that last ingredient was married to Uncle Ralph.
