The winner of the RA's NYC competition is hitting Miami to take on local drink slingers from RUMBAR, Plunge, Living Room, 8 Oz Burger Bar, and the Florida Room in a rum cocktail-off, in which each contestant has 15 min to invent two drinks. You get to sample each creation, plus enjoy free Cuba-inspired hors d'oeuvres, live music from Grupo Nostalgia (a four-piece Latin band), and reduced prices on cocktails made with Abuelo, which has a flavor profile of "sweet fruits, toasted coconut, tobacco and delicate spices" -- so, not Scary.
