Phonebook Flasher

Whether salvaging data from a smashed cell or proactively copying your contacts before your belongings are stolen in retribution for an impromptu "sweet dude" pants-free session, backing up your phone is a chore far more important than paying taxes or flossing. Save your time/sanity with the Phonebook Flasher.

The Flasher is a purpose-built USB drive that plugs into your cell and backs up your numbers, like you regularly do with your computer, except not a face-saving lie. Depending on your cellie model, one end of the PF's either a SIM card innie or a direct-to-phone outie; either way, just plug in and press a button to copy contacts to the onboard memory (capacity's 10,000 -- if you have more friends than that, you're cool enough that they'll call you). When you inevitably lose, break, or coat your phone in hot sauce, simply plug the PF into the replacement (or another PF-compatible phone) and press "Up" to replace everybody's numbers in their original, transcribed-from-a-urinal-divider glory.

As a bonus, the PF's USB end allows you to manage numbers en masse with your PC -- a chore otherwise only accomplished while waiting for delayed flights, or for people to start talking to you again after one too many acts of dude-ish sweetness.
