PluggedIn

Ever since MTV forsook them for an all-Hills format, even the most visually formidable music videos have been relegated to barely-watchable lo-fi homes. See them presented in all their booty-swanging glory with PluggedIn.

Launched today, PI's a slick storehouse of over 10,000 HD- and broadcast-quality bufferless streaming videos, backed and masterminded by Will Smith (apparently still striving to prove himself to doubting hater Uncle Phil -- Ha Ha!). Already on board're heavyweight imprints like EMI, Sony BMG, and Universal, as well as various indie labels and acts who're constantly lying about not wanting to be signed by EMI, Sony BMG, or Universal. Beyond vids, each song page comes decked out with features like All Music Guide bios, Wikipedia entries, and related blog and news stories, plus lists of similar artists and influencers and a "marketplace" to buy albums/tickets/merch, ensuring you can casually bankrupt yourself from watching free videos.

Plugged also helps you construct video playlists, and plans to offer an embeddable player -- at which point you'll expose yourself as part of the problem, when you host their high-quality mixes on your barely watchable lo-fi fansite, LCYouGoGirl.com.
