Hump This
Food: Savarona
Serving up French-inspired Turkish cuisine (lobster-stuffed artichoke, skewered swordfish), Sav's a spacious, bronze-bar'd and brass-bedecked resto located directly across from the Queensboro bridge onramp -- which will lead to you humming, "Across from the bridge Uptown, is where I ate some smoky aubergine stew..."
Drink: Videogame History of NYC
Check this nostalgic timeline of NY-based videogame plots and characters, from classic arcades (Brooklyn-based Mario Bros), to 8-bit Nintendo faves (Mike Tyson's Punch Out), to the movie-theater staple Crazy Taxi, which despite its insanity offered more compelling character development than Jimmy Fallon's plain old Taxi.

Drink: Johnny Utah's Kentucky Derby
Conveniently right across the street from an OTB, Johnny's celebrating the Derby on three 150-inch screens, with $5 mint juleps and free Belmont Stakes tickets to whoever wears the best derby hat. Also in the mix, a Jack Daniels single-barrel julep served in a tin cup for $100, though odds are 20:1 that your C-note will go to 20 regular juleps.
Gear: Yankees/Mets Garbage Cubes
Like energon cubes but filled with refuse, these 5x8in hermetically sealed, signed, and numbered works are filled with authentic NY street garbage, e.g., cube #163 (Kit Kat wrapper, Marlboro box, string) and cube #162 (coffee cup, mixed nuts bag, lotto ticket). Newly available: cubes filled w/ trash collected from Yankee Stadium's and Shea's final opening days -- halcyon spring afternoons when the trash was full of promise.
