Drink: La Palette Cachaçeria
Rebranding itself as North America's first ever "cachaçeria", this tiny W. Village spot serves around 30 brands of Brazil's indigenous hooch. To dignify the stuff, they're also offering three four-shot flights -- finishing them all proves your manhood's on par with a nation of hairless dudes in banana hammocks.
Eat: Cooper's Tavern
This refurbished New Yorker hotel restaurant serves an impressive 70 wines, an adequate 4 beers on tap, and classic American grub, e.g., short-rib sloppy joes on buttermilk biscuits, falafel-crusted salmon fillets, and a 12oz "Skyscraper Burger" topped w/ bacon, portabello, gouda, and crispy onion rings (misunderstood gorilla optional).
Drinks: Moo Mobile and Toss the Boss Kickoff Party
Tomorrow night's boozy party debuts two new features of the twin Aussie spots: First, the Moo Mobile, a wood-panelled/cow-skulled /surf-board-topped station wagon that'll pick you up gratis anywhere in the LES/EV, and shuttle you home again. Second's "Toss the Boss", a happy hour game where the owner randomly selects patrons to a coin flip, then pays winners' drink bills even if they refuse to pleasure Bruce Springsteen.
Eat: Chikalicious Puddin'
Opening tonight across the street from its 3-star'd forebear, this take-out only coffee/tea/pudding bar serves made-to-order Steamed Apple Puddin', Brioche Bread Puddin', and French-Verona-based Adult Chocolate Puddin' (no relation to "Two Girls One Cup").
Culture: Middle-Aged Asians Rapping
Ever-ruthless, Singapore's on a mission to knock NYC from atop the global media marketplace, using the unstoppable weapon of...rapping: "Market trends that's my very best friend/My eye on KPIs every now and then".
