Drink: Bowery Wine Company
A UWS bar magnate's Downtown debut, this high-ceiling'd, Mexi-cali-toned lounge is pouring 30 bottles/glasses to abet small bites (crostini, panini, etc) and desserts, e.g., the velvety Bowery Cheesecake -- inspired by the legendary East Village street hustler, Velvety Bowery Cheesecake.
Service: NCAA Team Bar & Package Map
Designed specifically for the Tournament, this GMap's 50 color-coded icons indicate bars with The Package (blue) and bars with The Package plus a team affiliation (red). Pop-ups give each joint's contact info, cover/reservations policies, and specials, like 50cent wings, or a free pint for every minute you can look at Verne Lundquist without hurling the previous free pint.

Gear: Freemans Yard Sale
For their annual yard sale, Freemans is offering 40% off both their signature line of casual sundries (English melton pea coats, pure cotton button-downs, graphic tees) and miscellany from the owner's garage -- taxidermy, antique lamps, and sleds that weren't actually for sale before, and thus are now 60% more expensive.
Service: NY Rent Club
Designed by an Aussie immigrant dumbstruck by broker chicanery, this resource puts you in contact with brokers catering to your prefs ('hood, budget, move date, etc). To qualify for inclusion, brokers must offer at least 20% off their typical fee, agree to be rated by site users, and provide three references from satisfied customers, e.g., "His teeth were even pointier than the photo on his business card suggested!"
Gear: Periodic Table Rings
Constructed from the very precious metals whose symbols grace their faces (Ag/silver, Au/gold, or Pt/platinum), these manly, made-to-order rings are crafted by a Brooklyn-based graphic designer and his wife -- who's here to tell you, every kiss begins with potassium.
