The List

Culture: Graffiti on Girls

10pm Friday at Club Tobago: 147-02 Liberty Ave, at Sutphin, Queens; 917.442.5848

Tobago's serving up hourly shot specials while esteemed vandals meticulously tag scantily-clad women with markers -- a graffiti form known as "shriiimping", because more readily understandable terms like "Neck Face" were already taken.

Drink: Trophy Bar

351 Broadway, between Keap and Rodney; no phone

From the trio behind Outsiders-inspired Stay Gold Gallery, TB's pouring 8 draughts (Victory Prima, Six Point IPA, etc), plus a joyous abundance of tequila and whiskey. The low-lit, subway-tiled space sports a DJ booth, a 50s-era jukebox stocked w/ actual 45s, and a backyard sculpture garden in which to sit and contemplate Rodin's signature work, "Man So Debilitated by Tequila, He Must Rest Head upon Fist".

Drink More: Habitat

988 Manhattan Ave, between India and Huron, Brooklyn; 718.383.5615

Built from salvaged Maine lumber and detritus from a mechanic's garage, Habitat's a log cabin-stee'd pub serving 12 NY microbrews (Ommegang, Brooklyn Ale) plus cheeseburgers, empanadas, and other bar grub prepared by a former Lotus cook. On a curious note, the manager's a former social worker, who so enjoyed bettering the lives of alcoholic paupers he decided to create more of them.

Gear: Loyalty & Blood

These creepily esoteric tees (wolves w/ fangs bared, ominously bearded men, an inverted monster truck) come from a Brooklyn couple who draw inspiration from "conceptual art, Vikings, and things of an evil nature in a fun way" -- you know, everyday life in Park Slope.
