The List

Gear: Alexander West Bespoke Tailor

12 Desbrosses St, between Hudson and Greenwich; 866.647.1740

Having escaped the clutches of Wall Street I-banking, AW now proffers bespoke formal and casual button-downs made from your choice of over 700 swatches. He'll take appointments or copy measurements from previously tailored shirts you mail in; he also offers online spec submittal and shirt design (cuff/collar type, etc), and even lets you name whatever custom style you create, as long as you name it "Ironed Man".

Until July 16th, save 20% when you mention Thrillist at the showroom, or use code PC223650 at Alexander-West.com

Drink: Frying Pan

Open 12pm till 1am at Pier 66a, near 26th; 212.989.6363

Reopened a bit north after a 1.5yr shutdown, this barnacled former lightship's still the same: shore-bound tiki bar (beers, burgers, steamed lobster, crab cakes, etc), creaking out-of-commission boat w/ clangorous party room straight out of Ghost Ship. However, 2.0's dropped the 4am close for a more respectable 1am, leaving tassle-panted river-ravers to look elsewhere for after-hours entertainment (Chelsea Piers Golf-tronica?).

Handmade in BK, these full-year calendars mark dates under the blisters of Bubble Wrap; even better, compulsive popping could cause Christmas to come early this year.
