Food: Center Cut

Center Cut

Opened by Chodorow across from Lincoln Center, CC's pouring opera-themed cocktails (Glenfiddich and Bushmills "Tristan", Maker's Mark "Isolde") to complement a menu sporting everything from Steak Rossini w/ seared foie gras, to Australian Wagyu Tenderloin, to a 28oz Brandt Beef T-Bone, to a Flintstone Beef Rib for two. If the preciously named drinks seem to contrast with the sordid meatiness, remember, all opera singers are fat.

Globe-spanning beers also available. Get fat with this menu

Food: Rouge Tomate

Rouge Tomate

The stateside sister to a Brussels resto, this bi-level sidewalk cafe and subterranean bistro's deco'd in back-lit woods, tan leather, and flora (water pools brimming w/ cranberries, one 2-story tower of potted herbs), pours fresh juices and organic Euro wines, and serves up regional/seasonal eats (Moroccan Spiced Hudson Valley Duck, Grass-Fed Hangar Steak...) prepared by a DB Bistro Moderne alum under the watchful eye of an in-house nutritionist -- basically, Danny Glover to his Mel Gibson.

Meat: Murray's Real Salami

Murray's Real Salami

From the Murray's Cheese guy, this meat-tique is hawking cooked and cured meats from artisanal producers new to NYC (Vermont Smoke & Cure's Hot Dogs, Larchmont's Spicy Beef Salami and Pork Saucisson...), and complimentary condiments from McClure's, Tracklements, and Katchkie. Also on tap: educational classes like Salumi 101 and Season's Meatings (do not ask for this while sitting on Santa's lap).
