Recession Rags (now closed)

Made in NY from vintage garments and uncut cloth, Rags' newborn line includes knee-length, boat shoe-worthy shorts (solid, madras, and plaid); a rainbow of suspenders (solid denim, grey houndstooth, blue gingham, etc) affixed with six old-school brass buttons; and five Alternative Apparel tees with graphics lifted from the Depression-era Federal Arts Project, e.g., "Eat Fruit, Be Healthy" w/ art deco-ish grapes, and "Hiking", with an image of a man looking blankly into the distance, as if to say "Shouldn't I be working instead of hiking, so my family doesn't have to eat dirt?"
