Celebrities love to reinvent themselves, from MC Hammer being reborn as a preacher, to John Travolta coming back as a tough guy in Pulp Fiction, to Pink turning into a woman. Proving boring normal people can do it too, the guys behind Miso Hungry.
Run by partners who met in culinary school after fleeing the legal and social work fields to pursue their dream of making you food, Miso's an Asian-vittling truck covered in anime faces and dedicated to serving you Asian staples -- although mostly just the food kind, 'cause those stores are kinda huge. Miso Boxes're served with either miso rice or white rice and Asian slaw, and come with options like curry chicken marinated in a sweet & spicy curry w/ lemongrass, peppers, tomatoes, and onions; one w/ pork marinated in honey, ginger & lemon called Miso Honey Ginger; and spicy Rendang Beef, also what Stimpy called arguments with his co-star, while using language safe for children under 12. There's also stuff like the unique Miso Burger, made of Asian spice-marinated ground pork and served w/ cilantro mayo and Asian slaw (plus optional add-ons like crispy fried onions), as well as a roster of "Miso Stars", including chicken satay, shrimp satay, or spicy vegetable spring rolls accompanied by dips like teriyaki, sweet chili, and peanut sauce, which Snoopy hopefully wasn't getting into before flying his doghouse-plane.
While boozeless at the moment, drinks right now include a slew of sodas, plus homemade agave nectar-/lime-/basil-aided lemonade, which is thankfully not Pink, since that dude is covered in tattoos and rarely showers.
