Drink Beer Now Too: Press Club

Press Club

SOMA's cavernous multi-winery tasting room gets even more boozy with the addition of an SF-centric beer program (three taps, five bottles), an alcohol-infused tagline (Wine Bar & Lounge!), and Thirteen Going On 30 extra stools so you can belly up to all six of its walnut-planked tasting bars.

There're heartier eats now too, like bacon caramel corn, pulled pork crepes, & blue cheese steak sliders. Size it all up here.

Eat More Often: Wayfare Tavern

Wayfare Tavern

Tyler Florence's tri-level eating/drinking lodge makes it easier to get a reservation starting April 30th when it expands its previously dinner-only weekend sched to include Saturday lunch, and gives you even more reason to hit it up with newly added edibles like an anchovy mayo'd Pounded Veal Chop, and bacon aioli'd Pan Roasted Alaskan Halibut with chive blossom, and, presumably, its best friend chive Six.

Dads Are The Original Hipster

Raising an Olympia to the original hipster (your pops), this of-course-it's-the Mission-HQ'd Tumblr provides photographic proof that your dad indeed once made out with chicks who weren't exclusively wearing "Momma Knows Best" aprons, plus "His chesticle's were filled with intimidation and the deep-v was a necessity because no other shirt could contain that which his chest was." So. Damn. True.

"It takes a certain kind of man to pull off wearing what most would consider lady attire, but your dad was that man."

Eat Por Favor: Xolo

Xolo

From the same couple behind next-door Flora and sit-down Mex-taurant Dona Tomas, Xolo is a takeout-focused getaway for Meh-he-co foodstuff aficionados in Oakland named after a 3,000yr-old hairless dog, and slinging deliciousness like the Vampiro taco (al pastor/ salsa ranchera/ red onions/ serranos/ cilantro served on a fried cheese tortilla), Fri/Sat-only Birria (chile broth-braised goat), and the "Danger Dog", a bacon-wrapped sausage with "the works", also a property historically known for pwning B&O Railroad stakeholders.

Did we mention their back patio shares a wall with a multi-windowed pot club? Click here for a contact high.

Get Tropic Thunder'd: Tiki Haven

Tiki Haven

Brought to you by the dude behind Rockit Room, TH joins SF's short list of Central Eastern Polynesian-themed drink-eries, bringing with it appropriate amounts of tiki wares (Easter Island heads, torches, faux thatched roofing) plus ample tropical libations, 3L draft beer Tiki Barrels for $25, and a multi-flavor Pringles dispenser, though, this time, once you pop... the fun probably will stop, and you'll be asked to leave.
