Scotch-soaked coffee & bourbon brisket hash

Back alleys haven't historically been the most desirable of locales: if you're in one, you're usually either getting mugged, peeing, or most likely doing both at the same time. Making your favorite back-alley bar more than just a place to be relieved of both your bladder and wallet, 15 Romolo's Punch Drunk Brunch.

After two weeks of trial brunching, the training wheels come off this weekend with the official launch of PDB, a food-and-drink must-consume that'll feature the modernized speakeasy's first square-meal offerings alongside new hangover-curing cocktails and hangover-creating punches, hopefully served up by (Vodka) Soda Popinski. The entire brunch menu's $10 or less, with the br'-half of eats including bourbon-soaked beef brisket hash (with horseradish cream and a poached egg) and the 'unch featuring a $6 burger avail "dirty south"-style (add smoked pork), or with peanut butter and bacon, in a preparation dubbed "yo-mama", who the Pharcyde once saw in the back of Taco Bell in handcuffs. Romolo's standby Pimm's Cup, Sangria, and Buck and Breck all grace the libation list, plus there's a by-the-cup jungle juice and three newbies: a whiskey barrel-aged, white-dog'd Bloody; the Breakfast of Champions, combining maple syrup, a Scotch-soaked coffee tincture, Sherry, and a homemade banana cordial; plus a St. George absinthe-based fizz with Germany-procured creole bitters, which pretty much every player on the Heat has tasted at this point.

And because no brunch would be complete without one, the Romolo dudes just finished installing a custom photo booth inside of that old phone stall in the corner, another place you've been known to steal away to in order to pee.
