INTRODUCTION. This "Enter To Win A VIP Trip To London This Summer" Sweepstakes gives the sweepstakes winner the opportunity to win a trip for two to London this summer. The details of the prizes and how to enter the Sweepstakes are contained in these Official Rules.
TO ENTER. You can enter the Sweepstakes online. During the Promotion Period (as defined below), go to http://www.thrillist.com/m/2842311 and complete the online entry by entering true and correct information in all of the fields, click to submit, and you will automatically receive one entry in the Sweepstakes. Electronic entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry. The "authorized account holder" is deemed to be the natural person who is assigned to a particular e-mail address by the applicable Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. A potential winner may be requested to provide Sponsor with proof that the potential winner is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the winning entry and is an otherwise eligible United States resident. Limit one (1) entry per person and per e-mail address. More than one (1) entry from any person or from any e-mail address will void all entries from that person or e-mail address, as applicable. Any attempt by a person to enter more than once with multiple email accounts may result in disqualification at the discretion of the Sponsor upon verification of prize winners.
Thrillist.com ("Sponsor") is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, garbled, illegible, or misdirected Sweepstakes entries, or for any error, human, technical or otherwise, which may occur in the processing of Sweepstakes entries. Proof of sending will not be deemed to be proof of receipt. All entries become the exclusive property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Any use of robotic, automatic, programmed or similar entry methods will void all such entries by such methods.
TIMING. The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00:01 a.m. Eastern Time on July 9th, 2012, and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern Time on July 31st, 2012 (the "Promotion Period"). Online entries received prior to or after the Promotion Period are disqualified.
USE OF DATA. Sponsor will be collecting personal data about participants (including, without limitation, e-mail addresses) when they enter the Sweepstakes online. By participating in the Sweepstakes online, entrants hereby agree to all personal information uses and disclaimers as explained in Sponsor's Privacy Policy at http://www.thrillist.com/tscs. Entrants also agree that by entering the Sweepstakes they will receive promotional emails and/or newsletters from Air France and Travel + Leisure publisher American Express Publishing as disclosed on the Sweepstakes landing page. ELIGIBILITY. The Sweepstakes is open to all residents of the fifty United States and the District of Columbia (excluding Puerto Rico) who are (i) 21 years of age or older at time of entry. Void where prohibited by law. Employees of Sponsor, American Express Publishing, Air France, or their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising or promotion agencies are not eligible, nor are members of these employees' families (defined as parents, children, siblings, spouse, and life partners). No purchase necessary to enter or win.
AGREEMENT TO OFFICIAL RULES. Participation in the Sweepstakes constitutes entrant's full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and Sponsor's Privacy Policy http://thrillist.com/tscs and to be contacted by email and/or telephone.
SELECTION OF POTENTIAL WINNER. One (1) winner will be determined by a random drawing to be conducted by Sponsors on or about July 31st, 2012, from among all eligible entries received. Sponsor's decisions as to all matters related to administration of the Sweepstakes and selection of winners are final. All potential winners must comply with all terms and conditions set forth in these Official Rules, and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements. The potential winner(s) from the drawing will be notified by email on or about July 31st, 2012. If any of the potential winner(s) cannot be contacted within 24 hours of notification, an alternate entrant will be selected in his or her place at random from all eligible entries received.
PRIZE. The sweepstakes winner (the "Sweepstakes Winner" or "Winner") and guest will be awarded round-trip Economy Class tickets on Air France to London, 3 nights hotel stay (one double room occupancy room), and Thrillist-curated restaurant picks. Approximate value of Prize: $4000.
Relative to the Air France round-trip Economy Class tickets, Winner and guest may depart from the following Air France USA gateways only: Boston (BOS), New York (JFK), Washington D.C. (IAD), Atlanta (ATL), Miami (MIA), Houston (IAH), Chicago (ORD), Detroit (DTW), Los Angeles (LAX), San Francisco (SFO). Air France round-trip Economy Class tickets are only valid for Air France operated and marketed flights (i.e. no codeshares). Winner and guest must travel together on the same flights and on the same dates of travel and all terms and conditions attached to Winner’s travel shall also apply to the guest’s travel. The prize tickets are valid only for trips to London Heathrow Airport (LHR) via Paris Charles-De-Gaulle (CDG) airport. Stopovers in Paris in either direction are not permitted. Prize trip must be taken between August 1, 2012 and August 1, 2013. Tickets may be subject to certain other restrictions, including without limitation, availability and blackout dates. Air France will attempt to accommodate Winner’s preferred itinerary but has no obligation to do so and all specifics thereof will be at Air France’s sole discretion. Air travel must be reserved through Air France at least one (1) month before requested departure date and cannot be modified. Airline tickets are nonrefundable, nontransferable, and are not valid for upgrades or towards accrual of frequent-flier mileage. Sponsor will not replace any lost, mutilated, or stolen tickets or travel vouchers and is not responsible if the trip is delayed, postponed, or cancelled for any reason. No prize transfer, assignment, or substitution permitted unless stated herein. Winner is responsible for obtaining all necessary travel documentation including Passports and Visas. Arrangements for the fulfillment of the Air France round-trip coach ticket will be made by Air France.
Actual retail values may vary based on fluctuations in price for airfare and/or accommodations, and distance between departure and destination. Winner and guest are responsible for the payment of all government- or airport-imposed taxes, fees or charges in connection with the Air France tickets, which could amount to $250per ticket. The costs for or associated with ground transportation, surface/air travel to and from the Air France gateway departure city, meals, in-room or other personal charges at lodging (e.g., mini-bar, movies), telephone calls, gratuities, incidentals, and all other expenses are not included and are the sole responsibility of Winner and guest.
The Prize is subject to the following material conditions and restrictions:
NO CASH OR OTHER SUBSTITUTIONS ARE PERMITTED, EXCEPT BY SPONSOR, WHO RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SUBSTITUTE THE PRIZE WITH ONE OF EQUAL OR GREATER VALUE.
All federal, state and local taxes related to the Prize and the other prizes are the sole responsibility of the Sweepstakes Winner. All other expenses and costs, not expressly listed above, including but not limited to applicable taxes, are the Sweepstakes Winner’s sole responsibility. No refunds or credit for changes are allowed. No transfer of the Prize is permitted. Return of any prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and selection of any alternate winners.
GENERAL CONDITIONS. The Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the United States and the State of New York, and participants in the Sweepstakes hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of California courts (state and federal) for any causes or controversies arising out of the Sweepstakes. Each participant waives any and all objectives to jurisdiction and venue in these courts. All applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited. Sweepstakes may only be entered in or from the United States and entries originating from any other jurisdiction are not eligible for entry.
Except where prohibited by law, the Winner grants to Sponsor and its advertising agencies the right to use and publish their photos, proper names, likeness, voices, opinions, biographical information and state in any media to promote Sponsor and the Sweepstakes without additional compensation.
By entering, participants release and hold harmless Sponsor, American Express Publishing Corporation, and their subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the Sweepstakes or receipt or use and/or misuse of any prize.
Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the Sweepstakes if fraud or any other factor impairs the integrity of the Sweepstakes as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion.
If, in the Sponsor's opinion, there is any suspected or actual evidence of electronic or non-electronic tampering with any portion of the Sweepstakes, or if technical difficulties compromise the integrity of the Sweepstakes, the Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to void any entries at issue (including disqualifying any individual who tampers with the entry process), and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes, in whole or in part, at any time without notice. In the event of such cancellation, Sponsor reserves the right to award prizes in a random drawing from all eligible entries received before the time of cancellation.
Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction of unauthorized access to, or alternation of, entries. Sponsor is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry received by Sponsor on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, any combination thereof, or otherwise, including any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in the Sweepstakes.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
