Food and P*** in the Treehouse

In youth, the treehouse was a place for such illicit activities as touching your privates, touching other peoples' privates, and gorging on a luscious bounty of snacks. Adulting-up that illicit arboreal joy, SubCulture Dining's Food/P*** Dinner.

Run by a "dissident chef" who's totally into skydiving, SCD throws clandestine, oddly themed culinary events at equally oddball locales, the next setting being a multi-million dollar, multi-tiered, treehouse-styled pad cut into a hillside in the forests of Marin. Lucky diners will thrill to the lushly soundtracked, classily aspirational smut of director Andrew Blake, projected enormously onto a nearby hillside -- a perfectly prosaic backdrop for, say, Paid Companions, "an intimate and exclusive look into the world of High-Class Call Girls" (like there's any other kind). As for your 8-12 course meal, all grub's market fresh (and thusly tbd), but prior items have ranged from pan-roasted veal shortbreads w/ black truffles, to spiced tercera shell bean tuna crudo, to local roast duck w/ porcini/cipollini, to Tunisian lamb sous vide; each course is wine-paired, for a total of around 1.5 bottles, enough to mellow your ardor so that other diners don't become uncomfortable.

Space is extremely limited, so sign up and pay your fee (they call it a "donation") now. Normally, SCD background checks before accepting payment for any event, but this time they're letting Thrillist readers skip that step -- a lucky thing, because some deeds are so illicit, not even a treehouse can contain them.
