Golf cart-snowboard hybrid continues gnarlification of gentleman's game

When granddaddy of tow-in surfing Laird Hamilton is endorsing an invention, it's likely the invention is the most badass thing being built right now. You don't stare down and destroy the "heaviest wave ever ridden" then go around slapping your name on some paltry doodah. So the Golf Board, which he helped design, is getting us all sorts of stoked. The 4 Wheel Posi Traction (gear box similar to a car's) and 3.5-inch turf tires make for a super smooth ride on the steepest hills or in the thickest rough, all the while protecting the fairways from divots, even in cart-path-only conditions. A hand-held controller is how you'll accelerate and decelerate, while weight transfer determines which direction you're headed. Simple enough. It also has three different riding styles so you decide if it's more golf cart or snowboard.

With the likes of Rickie Fowler and Bubba Watson bringing shaggy-haired flows and generalgoofball-ery to the gentleman's game, we're pretty sure that in spite of the $3,450 cost, these are going to (or should) be all over the place once they catch on after their December 2013 release. It's already a quarter of the way toward its $100,000 goal on Kickstarter, and the campaign was launched only Friday. Greens up, dude.
