For once a book you'll have no trouble devouring, Meat America's a collection of photos that celebrates the "eye-opening, artery-closing" spirit of the US of A via staged shots of raw (and some cooked) meat, like ribeyes cut in the shape of states, the Philly "Love" sculpture recreated in ground beef, and even the Gadsden flag represented by a large sausage snake coiled atop a bed of rosemary sprigs with "Don't Tread On Meat" spelled out underneath in unidentified, heavily marbled flesh.
