An upstart clothier from the fashion mecca of Vancouver, Obakki just released their Fall/Winter line (available in Philly exclusively at Matthew Izzo's Old City boutique), a cohesive collection of casual-ish knits, pants, and loads of jackets produced north of the border with way-high-end wool and other fibers milled in Japan, with most pieces blending "sophisticated ruggedness" with "rustic luxury", the perfect threads for any dude dying to be the Brawny man reading Proust. New legwear options run from slim-fit, cuffed wool pants available in cobalt, black, charcoal (or mini-checked plaid in a poly/cotton/wool blend) to blended "Slouchy" pants complete w/ off-color piping; tops lean toward conservative comfort, with plaids and solids splitting the line from half- and full-placket wool shirts to asymmetrical-neck henleys, perfect for cocking your head to most effectively catch the profoundly mysterious lyrics of Hotel California. Outerwear really shines in the new drop, from a red-and-black plaid jacket w/ quilted liner, and a cotton bomber w/ contrasting trim and a quilted liner, to a brown or olive wool, double-breasted 3/4 length coat w/ textured shoulders, and a four-pocket military jacket with epaulets and built-in fingerless gloves, ensuring you don't leave any easily identifiable palm prints at murders.

Because Canadians just don't know when to stop, Obakki's also got a black cotton/modal zip-front hoodie, buttondowns in a range of shaded plaid, and cardigans available in a black cotton/modal mix or 100% Japanese wool in a variety of natural tones -- coincidentally, the vanity plate on Tone-Loc's Lambo.
