Swift Half Pub

When too many people share the object of your affection, the crowds make it impossible to express your love intimately, and pretty soon you're left wishing there were two Bret Michaels. Giving you more Good Dog to love, Swift Half Pub.

From the owners of the possibly too-beloved Center City mainstay, this one-level NoLibs outpost rocks very familiar fare in a roomy setting done up with a 20-seat wraparound bar, butcher-block tables, and red leather-upholstered booths, plus a rear soon-to-be dartroom that's for now prick-free. On the beer front, a 10-draft system pours the likes of Chimay Tripel, Flying Fish Belgian Mild, Sly Fox Dax Maibock, and Southampton Altbier, while a hearty bottle list includes Duchesse de Bourgogne, Left Hand Sawtooth Ale, Orkney SkullSplitter, and Flying Dog Gonzo Imperial Porter, as well as 22-25-ouncers of Corsendonk Brown Ale and Lagunitas "Ruben and the Jets" -- because who doesn't want to hear Ruben Studdard nailing Elton John? Food-wise, there're several plates of cheese and charcuterie (duck or Gran Biscotto prosciutto, Friuli salami, pate...), leading into lamb "lollichops", a salami & provolone muffaletta, fish & chips, and rack of mole lamb, along with the old Dog's old trick, a fat signature burger.

Future plans include expanding the menu into grilled whole fish, stuffed chicken, a ham & cheese sandwich, and steamed cockles -- which'll warm the cockles of your heart, left so cold when Heather threw that plate at your head.
