The brainchild of an urban-exploring Chicagoan fond of the card game euchre (a popular Midwest pastime) and booze (an even more popular Midwest pastime), the Drink Deck's a full set of actual playing cards, each adorned with a picture of a PDX watering hole plus contact info and redeemable for ten bucks off your tab at said establishment, possibly the only time being served with a suit will save you money. On the mixed-drink tip, the cards feature tiki redoubt Thatch, nationally renowned classic-cocktailistas Teardrop Lounge, and beloved dive My Father's Place, also the last response you want to hear after asking "so, where do you live?". Beyond booze and bitters there are serious beer joints like Wisconsin-worshiping suds-geek haven Saraveza, game-roomed Southeast hops hang East Burn, and Northeast's new-ish Breakside Brewery, which, just like Coolio's Lakeside Brewery, is all about samples and wraps.
Right now, the PDX version is available for pre-order, and you get a free second deck for correctly guessing the date their first order will ship out -- you may guess it's tomorrow, but then again, no?
