Geospot
Your right to do whatever, whenever, is under constant assault by cruelly arbitrary time strictures (trains stop at midnight, work starts in the morning, Girlfriends starts at 9:30). Fight back with Geospot.
Based in SF, Geo plots out spots that stock/serve the food/drink you desire, then tells you which are open at the times your unnatural cravings arise. Simply enter venue type or foodstuff (i.e., Chinese restaurant vs eggrolls), along with your location (address yields superior results) and time of need (now, after 10pm, 24hrs...), and Geo'll spit back a GMap drawn from their bank of thousands of listings, with each spot's info and hours -- including warnings like "Osha Closes in 15 minutes", but not including warnings like, "From 9-10am you will visit the mens room eleven times". They also point out crucial details that'll make or break you, like if the dine-in's closed but the drive-thru's open, or if the supermarket's open but its bakery's closed, requiring you to piece together a last-minute birthday cake with a tube of Elmer's and a sack of Ho Hos.
The site's still in beta, but already offers mobile, hooking you up with one-touch dialing and onscreen driving directions -- which unfortunately show an alarming prejudice against driving through playgrounds to get home on time for a sweet session with the ladies of the CW.
