Go: Thunderdome Fundraiser

at Ace Auto Dismantling; 2255 McKinnon St, at Upton; Bayview/Hunter's Point; 415.282.1353

Burning Man's most Mad-Max-obsessed camp Death Guild's throwing a party with industrial opera, "creepy fusion belly dancing", tesla coil/fire performance art, and live post-punk, all to showcase their to-scale, audience-participation Thunderdome. The Mel-Gibson-style grudge matches utilize leap-maximizing bungee harnesses and padded "boffing" bats, but like everything else the tournament's secretly rigged by Jews.

Father's Day Gift: Baja BBQ Firepack

SF-designed and produced, the Pack's a ready-to-go bbq solution: a paper-pulp box filled with premium mesquite charcoal and vented with a built in chimney. The set-up's designed to light the coal (and burn away the box) w/in 20mins without lighter fluid, allowing Pops to preserve both the environment and his own owlish eyebrows.

See how it works and pick it up at Andronico's, Raley's, or the Lazzari Fuel Company

Gear: REBEL8

Once peddled exclusively out of messenger bags, R8's summer collection of tattoo/graffiti-art tees just hit the SF brand's online store. Highlights include the chaotic "Bombed" (tatted chick surrounded by street scrawl), and the benevolent "Theresa", whose head's encircled by a red Nipponese circle as she holds a mini JC on the cross (Rising Son).
