2316 Polk St, near Green; Russian Hill; 415.776.5577
Opening this afternoon adjacent to the Polk Street mainstay, this lounge's modeled after an old-school French bar, with white-leather-upholstered booths/bar-stools, a long clear resin bar, and antique chandeliers. It'll serve up French-inspired cocktails by an ex-Rubicon/Michael Mina mixologist, and mini delicacies like duck liver mousse with truffles/country duck pate, and house-cured salmon lollipops (how many licks to get to the center of a Chinooksie Pop?).
Check out these so called bar bitesIf you Twitter so much it's preventing enjoyment of real life, this SF-based "social networking guru" -- aka Twitterboy -- will Tweet for you, placing you in "awesome locations/situations, saying genuinely interesting and thought-provoking things". To get rolling, just send him your interests/reasons for being on Twitter, and pick from plans ranging from three Tweets for $1.99 to 30 bucks for a full profile takeover, which'll free up the time you need to find a capable Facebooklad.

The newest late-night grub to hit The Mission's a tiny roving curry kart (adorned with neon string lights and bike wheels) that slings green or red curry, with chicken or tofu, served spicy or mild, all at $5 a pop. It's run by a "Magic Curry Man", who Tweets during the daytime about his to-come nighttime whereabouts, probably thanks to the fine, professional work of Twitterboy.
This Walk Score Gmap plots out bus/rail stop arrival times on an SF grid, and also displays how far you can expect mass transit to take you (in any direction) via color-coded blobs representing 15, 30, and 45 minutes of travel. Change your departure time and the blobs'll expand and contract accordingly, unless your start point's Daly City, which is tough to leave -- but hey! You're in Daly City! Why would you want to?
