Eat: Bi-Annual Wild Game Week

May 12-16 at The Big 4 Restaurant; 1075 California St, at Taylor; Nob Hill; 415.771.1140

Hit the Huntington next week for a la carte Animalia from buffalo to yak. Dish highlights include cherry-spiced/pepper-cured antelope medallions; panini stuffed w/ sausages made from both wild boar/fennel and rabbit/rattlesnake; and of course, the hot-mustard-flanked fried "ribs" from a Brazilian piranha, which taste vaguely of...Brazilians.

Gear: Self Edge Man Jewelry

714 Valencia St, at 18th; The Mission; 415.558.0658

The Mission's denim freak hub has intro'd an intricate line of sterling silver bracelets, rings, and pendants, all crafted by three renowned Native American silversmiths. The sauciest pieces include the Bow Bracelet, w/ polished horizontal silver stripes raised over an oxidized background, and the Feather Ring, a gold-accented silver feather that twists 'round the finger -- breathing new, dazzling life into your monotonous flipping of the bird.

Eat Some More: Martin's West Pub

831 Main St; Redwood City; 650.366.4366

Named for the owner's beloved Martin's Restaurant in Edinburgh, this real-deal Brit pub occupies a 100+yr old brick building and features a 25ft redwood bar plus tables fashioned from old wine barrels. The UK country-style menu's highlighted by the lamb t-bone w/ herb-crusted haggis, black pudding w/ pickled veggies n' plum mustard, and the broad-bean-mash-aided leek/pheasant banger -- damn, that dude is desperate.

Have a look at this grub and grog, mate
