Taking up residence right on the water, this airy Embarcadero eatery's done up with vaulted ceilings, luxurious reclaimed wood tables and bar, and decorative hanging plants on the wall. The super-fresh grub ranges from spiced crab cakes w/ paprika aioli, to panini on ciabatta (e.g., mango & lime chicken, grilled eggplant, etc), to cilantro/lemongrass/shitake noodle soup -- order for your date and prepare to be Udon Juan.

Up to 70% off complete lines o' current season stuff: minimally slick trousers n' jackets in grayscale by Endovanera, military-ish prepster wear by Nom de Guerre, Wood Wood's loose-fitting threads for lounging about, and slim cut button downs by Fear Factor winner Hyden Yoo, who after milking a smelly goat using only his mouth, inexplicably's failed to launch his inevitable drink line: Hyden Yoo-Hoo.

Catch the Marin-born observational comic who stars as the Flight of the Conchords' idiotically lovable friend Dave spouting off about anything from sickly babies having no business on airplanes ("baby doesn't even wanna go on a trip") to how Google's all conceited these days ("Did you mean Vagina? Yeah. Yeah, that's what I meant, Google Images.").

Valiantly attempting to class up the Broadway strip, a dude from Tomasso's is opening a little wino's haven that boasts a long handmade bar pieced together from old wine boxes in the fore and intimate booth seating in the rear. There's a small selection of charcuterie, crostini, and panini, nine draft/bottled beers (La Chouffe, Duval...), and a Cali/Italian, never-not-rotating wine list anchored by cabs/zins/chards from the proprietor's own VinNostro label, which you can sign up to receive a few times a year, but just when you think you're out, they pull you back in!
