Thrillist San FranciscoTo witness strength in synergy, look no further than the hybrid vehicle, or that terrible cop movie with Robert DeNiro and Eddie Murphy. Experience the power of three, at Sangha.
Just opened in Glen Park, Sangha's a Scandinavian-looking, minimalist sleeve offering a Japanese-Latin fusion menu from the chef behind Blowfish, Moki's, and Mas Sake (itself an unintentional fusion that's resulted in mucho blacking out). The leather-banquetted space is dominated by date-friendly, granite two-tops, with a blessed dearth of overhead lighting, which tends to leave even attractive dates looking like Andy Rooney. Feast on flavors from Tokyo to Cancun with dishes like cornmeal togadashi dusted squid, citrus-soy filet mignon, and a tempura-style, maguro, avocado, and jalapeno creation called the Ecstasy Roll -- sure to delight your palate, and rekindle your love of glowsticks, dancing, and everyone unfortunate enough to be near you.Sangha's a work in progress, with a continually expanding menu and forthcoming decor touches like brass-tinted mirrors and a backlit wine rack. Once they're in, it'll be Showtime! You know, like that movie where Eddie Murphy won't shut up?
